Wedding!

Wedding?
First off I would like to mention if there aren’t any that haven’t heard…. I’m getting married March 16th to the wonderful Soying Chonticha or Lin for short. No, I don’t expect anyone to fly to Thailand for our wedding, although you are welcome to come if you like.  But you will also have the opportunity to celebrate with us in America. So please come and join us April 6th for morning service at People’s Church in Dalhart, TX at 10 am. Then enjoy a steak at the Dalhart Christian Academy’s Steak-out across the street at the Coliseum and then come back to the church for desert and reception like celebration at 2pm. It’s going to be nearly an all day event so come and meet Lin and spend time fellowshipping with us.

Future?
I’m really excited about this new stage in my life God has brought me to! The connections that led to Lin and I meeting nearly 1 year ago is unbelievable, unless you take into consideration our loving Father and His amazing plan for our lives. He has really shown me that His plan for our lives is SO GOOD! If we submit our lives to Him then He can use us to do amazing things we would have never thought possible.
Lin and I will live in Thailand where she will join our Empower team and grow in the gifts God has given her. I know she will do great things for the Kingdom of God. She has grown up in Thailand and all of the persecution she has faced has taught her how to reach her people.  She has also been to Bible college where she discovered she can preach! Although she is shy and soft spoken she has a passion for God that others can see.
Just last week their was an incident where an elderly woman slid her motorcycle down in front of us.  As we were helping her the woman starts talking about her concern for her nephew. At that opportunity Lin starts telling her about God and how He loves us and how He can help if we pray. It was a very moving moment and although the woman did not accept Jesus at that time, I know she was thinking very seriously about what we discussed. We keep praying for her and know God will grow that seed that Lin planted and believe one day she will come to know the love of Jesus.

Conclusion?
I know joining in Holy Matrimony with Lin is God’s will and I know He will use us to do even greater things than we can imagine as we follow Him.

Thank you for the opportunity to share what is going on in our lives. My next update will probably be after Lin and I get back from America so be looking forward to seeing wedding pictures and hearing of our witnessing opportunities while traveling and as always please keep us in your prayers! We hope to see you April 6th! God bless you!

If you would like to bless Lin and I for our wedding we will have a "money-tree" April 6 at the reception event or if you can make it please use the same method you would for contributing support at empowerleaders.org and click Donate or mail to:

People's Team

Dear friends and family,
It has occurred to me since my last update the People’s Church has come, impacted, and gone and I really want to share about their amazing time here.
I was so thankful and proud that my church family and my Dad came to encourage and spread God’s love. It was even more special since my Dad got to come and see the work that I do and can visualise and better understand what I am here doing here and why. He is so supportive and an encouragement to me as well as everyone that He witnessed to here.  The whole team definitely shared their heart for spreading the love of God to the nations. I say this over and over but they truly are doing amazing things around the world!

All of the team members got a chance to share their testimonies or an encouraging word at one point or another and I am so thankful they were ready at a moments notice. This being the first team that I had led they had to extend grace to me for my oversights and lack of navigation skills through Bankok airport, but when we did arrive in Myanmar we hit the ground running. We ministered at several of our orphanages. The team split up and  helped with two painting projects. They painted the new home in which the children live at Timothy’s Nazareth Children’s Home and also painted the kitchen/dining building at Father’s House. The children enjoyed games and a Christmas story the team had prepared and also joined in the painting activities. Although the children had never painted before we think some might have found a skill that they enjoy. They learned that with a little care and pride in your work you can have outstanding results in which you can take pride in for years.

We arrived back in Thailand just in time for New Years Eve so we spent the day riding elephants and lighting/releasing lanterns. The next day which was the first day of the new year we were giving away shoes to villagers at Love and Grace Children’s home in MaeToh. I couldn’t think of anything better than putting shoes on children’s feet on the first day of the year. What a way to start the year! We also brought hamburgers and a grill to cook an American style dinner for all the children and church members.  The next day the team ministered deeper into the MaeToh village where the road ends. Here they gave away blankets to all who came to hear their testimonies and prayed for all who needed healing.
It was an exciting and very quick time that I wish would have lasted longer. I want to thank the team again for their love and grace that they showed, their willingness to help with anything, their willingness to eat anything, and all without a word of complaining. You truly are a blessing. I hope we have more teams like you come in the near future!

As always I thank my supporters for helping me fulfil Gods calling for my life and if you do not already support and would like to have the opportunity to be a part of our work please go to empowerleaders.org and click on the Donate tab.
